The best way to learn foreign language is to speak with native speakers (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Some people who learn foreign languages think that the best way to do it is to speak with native speakers. They suggest that it is the first you must do if you want to know another language perfectly. Certainly, this idea is not rather correct. Some of us consider that this measure is not such important.

Personally I believe that availability of native speakers is not necessary. And I have much to be said in favour of my position.

Firstly, people living in small towns often are not able to find a native speaker. You cannot even go abroad because it requires a lot of time and money. Of course, for those who lives in capitals this matter does not seem too difficult. But others may not have a chance to meet native speakers once in their towns. Secondly, nowadays there are a lot of ways to learn foreign languages without native speakers.

For example, films with subtitles, foreign books, songs and radio. You can also find a lot of methodics on the Internet. An experienced user is able to find necessary translations on Youtube and in other sites. Thirdly, native speakers cannot improve your language if you do not want to train your pronunciation and grammar skills, if you do not put an effort in trying of studing different cultures and traditions of any language, an so on.

My opponents can mind that these ways are not useful because they do not pay attention to some specific moments like different dialects and special words, which are typical for people from different countries. For example, English has a huge number of dialects: British English, American English, Cockney, Scows, Brummie, Pitmatic, etc.; Chinese has Mandarin dialect and Xiang dialect, and others.

But I can refute it by saying that a person learning foreign languages is not able to remember all dialects; for common understanding and establishment of contacts he will be using phrases which are common enough.

In conclusion, I want to say that in spite of importance of native speakers there is no need to try to find them at any price.
