High school students should study only the subjects they choose (Ñî÷èíåíèÿ ÅÃÝ àíãëèéñêèé ÿçûê)

Nowadays there are a lot of arguments about whether sixth form students need to learn only the disciplines they select or not. Some people claim that the best option for high school students is to study only chosen subjects, while others have an opposite opinion.

To my mind, commoners should definitely study exceptionally the disciplines, which were chosen by them. Firstly, our modern world truly demands qualified specialists, who know their sphere well enough. Secondly, if a student learns the chosen subjects properly, he might have more chances to pass all the exams successfully, enter the prestigious university and find a well-paid job.

However, there is a completely different assessment, says that students need to focus on the other subjects too. People, who have an opinion like this, state that by studying more disciplines, commoners broaden a mind and this will obviously help them in their future, for instance, in some hot discussions.

Personally, I do not agree with the previous position.

I believe that when you are a high school student, you have a huge number of issues to cope with, including a preparation for the exams, thinking about the career path and etc. The majority of commoners do not want to miss their chance of making their future, that is why many of them choose to concentrate on subjects they have selected, instead of learning other disciplines.

In conclusion, although there are different opinions on this problem, I suppose that sixth form students should study only the subjects they choose because of the current realities of our world
