Ecotourism is beneficial for local people and the environment (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Nowadays ecotourism is one of the most popular forms of tourism. It has a major impact on the local population, environmental and cultural awareness and respect. This is why a lot of people think ecotourism has more advantages than disadvantages while others claim that people should pay attention to adverse consequences for local people's lives and the environment.

In my opinion, ecotourism has a lot of benefits. First of all, it helps protect natural habitats and prevent the extinction of species by making special areas and places with security. Secondly, ecotourism provides support through employment and offering to local people different jobs so they have a sustainable income and comfortable living. Ecotourism companies and organizations can also help give back to the community by offering education and training in useful skills.

However, some people think it can be harmful.

For example, tourists with no respect for nature ruin habitats by leaving lots of rubbish. They throw wastes into the rivers which are polluting water where people live. What is more, ecotourism can displace indigenous groups from their homelands because they do not feel safe any more around strangers from other lands.

I do not agree with the opposite opinion because good ecotourism supports local economics, conserves cultural and biological diversity. Tourists gain knowledge about wildlife, lifestyles and get new experience. Most of the tourists are responsible people who understand the problem of pollution. Tourists can increase their awareness of the importance of resources and understanding other people's cultures.

In conclusion, I want to say that ecotourism gives an opportunity to learn about ecosystems, traditions, and cultures. it is a great way to improve the economic situation for local communities. Ecotourism is really important for modern society because it allows us to retry old technologies and look at nature from the other angle. It will definitely help human beings in the future.
