Project «Ways of Taking Photos» (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Hey George, how have you been? I've found a couple of pictures we could use for our project "Ways of Taking Photos". Let me explain.

Well, I think the first photo works for our project because it depicts a woman with a camera. We can see beautiful buildings in the background. In contrast, the second photo works because it shows two young women taking a selfie. There is a sea and a pebble beach in the backdrop.

So, together, the pictures illustrate the differences between how to take photos. In particular, they depict professional photography and just a selfie. In the first photo, the woman has a special camera, whereas, in the second photo, the women have a ordinary smartphone. Furthermore, in the first photo, the woman is taking pictures of the nearest buildings, whereas, in the second photo, the women are taking photos of themselves.

Well, I can see some advantages and disadvantages of the two ways of taking photos in each picture.

What I see as an advantage of the professional photo is that photos taken on the camera will certainly be of good quality. The disadvantage is that it can be taken only by professionals with particular skills because not everyone can work with a camera. What's good about selfies is that you can do them wherever and whenever you want by yourself. However, the downside is that the quality of such photos entirely depends on your skills and your camera.

Honestly, I prefer taking selfies. My mobile phone is always with me, so I can take pictures of myself any time I want.
