I’d like to give a talk about my last trip. If we are fond of travelling, we see and learn a lot of things we can never see or learn at home.

Our family had a trip to Latvia last summer. Its capital, Riga, is full of different museums with valuable exhibits. We got a good view of the Baltic Sea from the seashore.

What I liked mostly in Latvia was the Randall castle.

It is one of the most beautiful places of historical interest in Latvia. I adore the barocco style in which the castle is built.

Next year our family is going to Japan. I really want to visit the Osaka castle. It is a great tourist attraction, especially for me, because I am fond of ancient castles.

All in all, my last trip to Latvia was tremendous. We returned home sunburnt and full of impressions. That’s all I wanted to say.

Travelling is necessary for us all. It keeps us from growing stale and old, it develops our imagination, it gives us that movement and change which are necessary to our life. Moreover, while travelling people can learn such things they can never see or learn at home. That’s why people enjoy travelling.

When you travel, you need to stay somewhere for sleeping. You can choose a hotel, motel, rest house, tourist camp or rent a room or a furnished house for a couple of days. I prefer B&B – a place where you can stay for a night and have a breakfast in the morning.

Today travelling by car is very popular. You can use your car or rent it. The main advantage of this way of travelling is the fact that you can stay wherever you want and as much time as you like.

To sum up I want to say that travelling is an important part of people’s life. The best way to know and to understand people is to meet them in their own homes. The proverb says: ‘So many countries, so many customs’. That’s all I wanted to say.

While travelling people often take a camera with them and take pictures of everything that interests them, visit different museums with valuable exhibits, go to seashore and admire the views of it, do purchases in shops. Also people can try different food and listen to different musical rhythms.
