39 и 40 Public libraries are becoming less popular and they will soon disappear (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Dear Andrea,

Thanks for your recent letter. I was glad to hear some news from you.

As for your questions, I’m keen on collecting car models and a few of my friends collect stamps. I usually save my weekly pocket money to buy one car model every 3 months, but sometimes I spend them to buy self-development books. However, my friends are totally focused on collecting and don’t spend money on buying other things instead of stamps. My parents are satisfied with the way I spend my pocket money because they see that I purchase things bringing value and knowledge in my life.

By the way, what about courses you entered? Why did you make that decision? What is the duration of the courses? How many people will be in your group?

I’m sorry, now I need to help my parents.

Write soon!

Best wishes,

Andrew

In the age of the Internet, when everybody can find any information by clicking a few buttons, public libraries lose their popularity among people. That is why many humans argue: “Will libraries disappear soon or not?”

In my opinion, public libraries will exist forever. Firstly, humankind should have libraries as another source of storing information to not lose all collected data if the Internet will be shut down. Secondly, we need libraries to absorb necessary information without distractions, which is impossible to do through the internet consisting of advertisement disturbing us. Finally, libraries just have a unique atmosphere for effective studying, researching and other projects people will never give up.

However, there is another group of people believing that public libraries live through their last days. According to them, public libraries will not exist without state investments, which are cutting now due to the lowering level of visitors. Besides, working in the library is not perspective, there will be no necessary numbers of employees soon to supply it.

I respect another point of view, but I consider that public libraries will stay. To learn the necessary information a person needs to find a calm place without distractions and only public libraries can give us such a spot. Also, libraries improve our abilities to broaden our mind, while internet slows it down because of the excess of data there.

To conclude, regardless of losing popularity libraries will never disappear due to its numerous advantages. If a person wants to get proper self-education he should choose public libraries with great organized knowledge instead of the Internet where many data is deceitful and redundant.
