There are a lot of discussions about human priorities. Some people are convinced that work is an essential part of a person`s life, while others believe work is not so vital to a person as some people think.

To begin with, I want to point out that work is an important thing for everyone. Firstly, any work is usually paid by a person who hires you. It means that a person earns money to support themselves or their family while working. Secondly, work is a kind of self-development. It gives you an opportunity to broaden your horizons. Thirdly, work can be equal to your favourite hobby if you love your job, and therefore it distracts people from different problems while they are in the process of working.

Nevertheless, some opine that work cannot be a fundamental part of somebody`s life.

First of all, women who are married to rich husbands do not work at all. Moreover, some teenagers are free from work too. Thus, such kinds of people live happily, although they do not work.

Anyway, I disagree with my opponents. Even a rich woman works too. For instance, she does some housework or supervises staff. In addition, teenager study at school. It is work too.

Summing up, I want to stress that work is a part of our life - we cannot exist without it.

Dear John,

Thanks for your recent letter. It was great to hear from you again. I`m sorry I haven`t answered earlier, but I was really busy at school. I`m glad that you`re fine.

In your letter you asked me about professions. Well, some professions such as lawyers and economists are the most prestigious in Russia. You know, being a blogger does not require any university degree. Actually, I don`t want to go to college because I decided to get a higher education.

By the way, I want to ask you some questions about your trip. When does the trip start? Who will go on the trip with you? Where do you go, using a bicycle?

Unfortunately, I have to go now because my mum is calling me.
