Nowadays, the topic of space is very important and popular. Some people think that the most significant achievement of 20th century was space research. Definitely,not everybody agrees with this opinion. They consider that space exploration was not the greatest achievement of the 20th century. 45

In my opinion, the most significant achievement was the creation of the Internet, but not the space research. Firstly, the Internet is necessary for everyone, while the space is not so important because all people use the World Wide Web, but not all know information about space. Secondly, the Internet is accessible for everyone, but space is only for people with special education 63

However, many people believe that space exploration was the greatest achievement of the 20th century.

They consider that space exploration help people to predict and prevent some problem with the environment because the space is controlled by observational satellites. That is very useful and important for environment. In their opinion, the Internet cannot be without the space because it works only with the help of satellites. 66

I cannot agree with the above opinions. I think that all spaceships, satellites and space shuttles are harmful for space because they release a lot of fuel substances which are have bad influence on the atmosphere. Also, I think that the emergence of the World Wide Web was not required very accurate and careful space exploration because it useless and cost lots of money 64

In conclusion, I strongly believe that space research was not the most significant achievement of previous century. 17
