In today’s world the problem of science’s value causes great argument and controversy. Some people believe that a government should primary finance science while others do not agree with it.

My personal view is that administration should assign funds for science in the first place.

To start with, science is a base of medicine. We can hardly imagine our life without different pills, and laboratories need money for development. Furthermore, the education progresses only with science which helps children become acquainted with global innovations. Additionally, we live in the world of technologies that are made by scientists. Our life becomes better only with their innovations.

However, there exists another point of view on this issue.

First of all, people need homes and they can think about development and science in decent conditions only. Moreover, pollution problems are more important for a state. A government should care about environment and then about the scientific progress.

Despite my respect for this opinion, I cannot share it because the quality of the military production is determined by the level of scientific development. Besides, scientific achievements are used in manufacturing of food, clothes etc. All of this will not properly work without innovations.

Taking into consideration all mentioned above, I must admit that science is a basis for absolutely everything, so a government should pay particular attention to it and invest in science firstly.
