Show me your room, I will tell you who you are (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

In today’s world the problem of one’s nature determination causes great argument and controversy. Some people believe that the space around a person is a reflection of his character while others do not agree with them.

My personal view is that the one’s character is always reflected in his room. To start with, psychologists come up with the idea that colours are connected with a personality pattern: the colour of the room tells us about one’s inner world.

Furthermore, the mess in the room shows one’s irresponsibility and laziness.

Additionally, if a person has books in his room, we can say that he is smart and educated.

However, there exists another point of view on this issue. First of all, a person’s room may be affected by fashion and others’ tastes, so his room would not be his reflection.

Moreover, people may live in a rented apartment and they cannot change the interior.

Despite my respect for this opinion, I cannot share it because different pictures and posters on the room’s walls are also our thoughts’ expression. Besides, if one has sport equipment in his room, we can say that he conducts a sport way of life.

Taking into consideration all mentioned above, I must admit that one’s room is a reflection of his inner world.
