Show me your room and I will tell you who you are example (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

A common opinion is that you can learn a lot about the person if you see his room. Some people agree with this statement, while the others claim that you cannot be sure about a human’s character without talking to him.

As for me, I am convinced that the room tells a lot. To begin with, you can find some person’s habits such as eating in a bed, that will show you some personal qualities, in this case it is negligence. Moreover, having a brief excursion around the place will help you to determine owner’s hobbies. For example, having a guitar means that this person is interested in music. Last but not least, you can say how sociable is this human by finding photos or post cards from his friends.

Nevertheless, there are many people who are sure that we can know the person only by having a talk with him.

According to their opinion, a human can have a disgusting smell in his room but be a genius. Besides, some preferences like favorite places, bands or food can be known only by talking to the person.

I cannot totally agree with the previous point. Of course a room will not allow you to determine how talented its owner is but it can show you his basic character features. In fact, a lot of details can be explored during a room-survey process. For example, the owner can have some discount cards from his favorite places on the table.

In conclusion, it is clear that you can find a lot of facts about the person by giving his room a look-over. But you should talk to him to become closer before assessing this human.
