It is wrong to make pupils read in summer (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

There are two opposite points of view on the attitude of reading in summer. Some people consider that it is unnecessary to make pupils reading during summer vacation. However, others, on the contrary, are sure that reading in summer is useful for developing students' knowledge.

As for me, I consider that it is necessary to make children read during the holidays. First of all, it broadens our mind and helps to be more sociable. In many works there is a deep meaning, life idea or answer to a question that has long interested for the reader. Reading scientific books and articles increases the level of human knowledge. This activity develops our worldview. In addition, we learn a lot of new information about the world. We can read about history, culture, fashion, cooking and so on.

In such way we develop our brain and horizon.

Nevertheless, other people suppose that children should relax and do everything they want during summer vacation. For instance, go for a walk or the park, go to the cinema or theater, go swimming and so on. Some people find it is necessary not to study and read books in holidays. What is more, if you get carried away reading, it will take many hours. And people do not even notice that. So holiday will soon go to the end and it will begin new study time. Therefore, you do not have any time on relaxing and enjoying your free time.

I fully disagree with this fact, because reading is not difficult to be given at least 30 minutes a day on it, because it really develops your mind.

In conclusion I would like to stress that every pupil should decide to read in summer holidays or not.
