Nowadays some people might argue that a computer is the greatest time-waster for children. At the same time, other consider it has more beneficial effects than harms. Whose point of view is right?
As far as I am concerned, I believe that all worries of parents about use of information technologies (computers as well) are groundless. First of all, a computer provides an access to the Internet - the most massive source of knowledge.
This can help students to learn something new outside the school walls. Thus, they can broaden their horizons and get a success in the future. Furthermore, it is not as dangerous as parents think to play videogames. On the contrary it may be an important way of the child's brain development. According to scientists’ research, videogames increase the concentration, improve memory and speed up the reaction.
However, some people are sure that using a computer makes children to waste their time in the social networks. They believe that it causes problems in communication with peers in real life ant that is why students do not have any friends in school.
I cannot agree with the opposing opinion. I think that only people who have never used social networks can consider that it is the way toward the loneliness. Actually, socials help people to keep in touch with old friends and make new ones.
To conclude, I would like to mention that technologies became a part of our everyday life, so refusal or forbiddance of using it make more harm than good.
