Show me your room and I will tell you who you are (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Some people believe that a room can tell a lot about its owner. However, others are sure that you will never know about the identity of a person with the help of his home.

From my point of view, I believe that a person s room shows a lot about their personality. Firstly, you can see who lives here a neat person or not by whether the room is clean. For example, there are some people who never make their bed or keep throwing their socks around the room. It probably means that they are lazy. Secondly, in the living space you can see different things that can represent its inhabitant’s personality. For instance, there can be a lot of posters of their favorite band, some sport prizes or a home library. It probably shows that person keen on listening to music, playing sports or reading books.

However, the opponents think that it is a common stereotype that a room can tell something about a person.

They claim that someone can simply get tired and forget to clean up in his living environment. Therefore, an unkempt or cluttered room does not necessarily mean that its inhabitants are lazy, sloppy or untidy.

I disagree with the opinion above. House cleaning is a habit. Even if a person does not clean up for a few days, it will not have a big impact on the general appearance of the place because in any case, they are accustomed to putting everything in their place.

In conclusion, even though some may disagree with me, I believe that a room can be a mirror of a person’s daily life, their hobbies and character.
