- Some people believe that the Earth is being damaged by human activity. Others feel that human activity makes the Earth a better place to live. What is your opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer -

Nowadays, some people claim that the Earth is threatened by human beings, while others argue that people's activities make conditions of living on the planet better. Although, both points of view are doubtful.

On the one hand, a modern human can't imagine his life without automobile because it makes his life easier. But does he think about it's disadvantages? Fuel combustion in the car engine causes releases of carbon dioxide and other harmful gas which harm human organism and the whole environment.

Moreover, these gas emissions hold solar energy in the Earth atmosphere. This process leads to global warming that starts climate changes and raising of the sea levels. If global warming doesn't stop, it will bring a huge damage to all creatures living on the planet, not only humans.

On the other hand, in the present time more and more people are trying to do something to protect the Earth from being injured. People organize nature reserves to save endangered species from extinction. Also, humans try to restore the amount of trees by planting new ones and keep an eye on cleanliness of different reservoirs like seas and oceans. In addition, the most important step in making our planet better was the creation of electric cars which don't produce air pollution. However, no matter how great are these intentions, they are all solution for the problem that people made themselves because of their irresponsibility and consumptive attitude to the nature.

Summing up, it's fairly to say that human activities provoke more harm than a good influence on the Earth. If we don't start to pay attention to safety of the world around us, we will doom the whole planet to destruction.
