My family traditions (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Today I want to tell you about my family traditions. In my family, traditions are what binds us, unites us, and also, often, it is an occasion to meet and spend time together when everyone is in their own worries and affairs.

First of all, we have such a tradition on the first warm spring days, often it's April, we gather together at a common table and cook traditional dishes of our people - pilaf on an open fire, according to all the rules according to which our ancestors, namely my great-great-grandmother, cooked. On this day, everyone does their own thing: one cooks rice, the second deals with vegetables, the third sets the table in the gazebo, and I usually collect firewood and light a fire. When the dish is ready, we all enjoy its taste for a pleasant conversation, sitting outside in the sun. This tradition is a rite of unity for our family, honoring the memory of our ancestors.

and also the meeting of spring. The second tradition is the celebration of family day. Family Day is the day when our family was formed, when my grandparents got married on sixteenth of August. On this day all our family and close relatives come to us to congratulate this day, we call idleness, because we believe that this day is not for work, each of us turns off the phone and enjoys the holiday. In addition, on this day we usually go to the cemetery to visit our dead, because this is their holiday too. In addition to all this, we have many different family traditions, in my opinion, these are the most important.
