Some people say that doing sports is very useful while others think that sport is really harmful for our health.
In my opinion, sport gives us a lot of energy and positive emotions. When doing sports, we lower pressure from stress and charge ourselves with new impressions and make friends with strong and resolute character traits. Also, sport helps to maintain our health and become a hardened person. People explore their inner world and find out will and power in themselves. For example Paralympics sportsmen overcame themselves and climbed a very high mountain Kilimanjaro in Africa only with their hands.
On the other hand, my opponents say that doing sports is waste of money, time and energy.
Instead of doing them, we can concentrate on our career and family. Moreover, sportsmen can be injured easily while doing risky exercises in sports like football, hockey, boxing, wrestling, and extreme sports.
I partly agree with my opponents’ opinion as sportsmen with traumas cannot live properly and are limited by their room. However, there are very strong sportsmen like Plushenko. On 12 June 2011, Plushenko said that he had undergone knee surgery due to a meniscus problem but would be back on track within two weeks. He had been under operations twelve times and, nevertheless, took part in Olympic Games and World Cups. I do not think we should take such risk and become disabled people. Instead, we should choose those kinds of sports where we can avoid traumas.
To sum up, I would say that we should do sports and lead healthy lifestyle. World champions and Olympics winners will always be a good example for younger generation. It is possible through development of local sports clubs and sports festivals where children can see their idols. My favourite sportswoman is Daria Domrachova. She won three gold medals in the pursuit, individual, and mass start competitions at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and a bronze medal in the individual competition at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She was a Biathlon World Cup overall winner for the 2014–15 season. I like biathlon very much. Because of this reason, every day I do morning exercises and in winter my friends and I go skiing in the park in Kolpino.
