Central parts of big cities should be closed to private transport.

Nowadays some people are sure that city centers should be free from private transport, while others have different point of view. In this essay I will try to look upon this issue.

In my opinion, central parts of big cities indeed should be closed to cars. Firstly, there are a lot of people in the center of megacities. Therefore, a lot of private automobiles can cause an enormous number of accidents which are very dangerous for humanity. Secondly, vehicle is the main pollutant. Transport toxic gases are harmful not only for the environment but also for people’s health. That is why I am convinced private transport should be forbidden in cities’ centers.

However, some people claim that private transport should be allowed in central parts of big cities.

They consider that it takes a lot of time to get to the city center by public transport, which can be overloaded. So, it is essential to not close cities’ centers to personal automobiles.

Nevertheless, I cannot agree with this statement. I am sure that this problem can be solved by introducing (âíåäðåíèå íàäåæíîãî âûñîêî÷àñòîòíîãî) a reliable high frequency tram service (òðàìâàéíîãî ñîîáùåíèÿ) as well as developing the underground.

To sum up, I would like to emphasize that central parts of big cities should be closed to private transport because it will make people’s lives much better and safer.
