What are the advantages and disadvantages of continual assessment (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Among many students continual assessment is often considered to be the frustrating burden. However, there are certain benefits connected to that type of gauging, giving reliable learners unique opportunity to track their progress consistently.

In fact, the most dramatic downsides are related to the mental health of a student. Primarily, the fear to make a wrong step and fail down a test or an essay assignment takes most people back from coming up with creative and unusual solutions and expressing their point of view. For instance, I myself suffered during the secondary school since each task would be marked, what made me tame my ambitions to satisfy examiner and get the decent mark. Secondly, when each stage of education is being evaluated a student feel an enormous pressure and stress, what significantly spoils his/her opportunity to just have fun, make new meetings, unexpected discoveries and enjoy bright university life.

For example, my cousin sister decided to change her studying program me, because she simply could not cope with the severe anxiety about each task to be assessed and, sure, prospect of receiving many bad marks.

As any thing in the sublunary world has its pros the same goes for continual assessment. First of all, it is a powerful tool for a mindfulness student to gauge his/her level of understanding the material and serves as a sign to dig deeper in particular topic or revise it, if the grade is low. For example, not satisfying mark forced my doormmate to timely recognize his knowledge gap and eliminate it untill the session begins. Secondly, such a system makes students to be more reliable and accountable in relation with their studies and insist on to really develop human capital not only partying hard. For instance, a terrible GPA rate returned the consciousness to my ex-classmate Marie and reminded her that she enrolled in the course mainly to get a degree, become educated but to be an enthusiastic activist when studies are not so intensive and that does not influence overall points score.

To sum it up, continual assessment. such as coursework and projects definitely has some pluses- get instant feedback on your academic performance and minuses - negative impact on students' mental health. We should admit try to maximize positive effect of such a phenomenon
