1. "I can’t believe it you managed to find a summer job at an amusement park. It’s just a chance of a lifetime. You’ll be able to try out all the attractions there and I’m sure you won’t have to queue – you are a member of staff. So, how many hours a week are you going to work? What exactly are your responsibilities? What perks do they offer? Anyway, I’ve got plans for the summer too. I’ve signed up as a volunteer at a local hospital…"




Dear Alice,

Thanks for your recent letter. It was great to hear from you again. I’m sorry, I haven’t answered earlier because I was busy at school.

In your letter you asked me about my job at an amusement park. I’m going to work 14 hours a week.

My responsibilities are looking after the safety of people and checking whether mechanics are damaged. They offer free cotton candy, ice cream and other sweets.

By the way, I want to ask you some questions about your volunteer work. How many hours a day are you going to work? What conditions of work are there? What duties will you have to perform?

Anyway, I have to go now because my mum is calling me.

Some people presume that healthy food is the only one element needed to be in a good shape, while others claim that there are actually a lot of necessary things to do to have strong health.

In my point of view, it is not enough to eat healthy meals to have an excellent physical condition. Firstly, the basis for strong health are helpful habit patterns. If a person has bad ones, he or she should get rid of them, because it is impossible to stay healthy and ruin their physical condition by drinking alcohol or smoking at the same time. Secondly, health depends on stable mental state. The person should avoid stress and improve their emotional wellbeing.

However, there is another side to the issue. My opponents claim that only the correct diet can help to be fit and healthy because the man gets all the vitamins and other useful elements and organism becomes healthy that way.

Nevertheless, in spite of this convincing argument, I strongly believe that doing different exercises is the essential part of strong health, because the body becomes healthier. Especially nowadays physical activity is necessary thing for people.

In conclusion, I want to say that using only healthy meals on the daily menu does not make people to be healthy and fit. They also should pay attention to their habits, nervous state and physical activity.
