Grandparents’ part in children upbringing (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

It is generally accepted that grand parents should take an active part in their grandchildren’s upbringing. Some people strongly support this idea, but others claim that parents should take the main part in this matter.

As for me, I totally agree with that grandparents ought to help with upbringing. Firstly, grandparents have huge life experience, which quite long lives and they can teach you a lot of useful things. Secondly, grandparents have a lot to tell, sometimes this knowledge is unique. At the same time, young generation has a lot to share, too. Thus, communication between grandparents and grandchildren can be useful for both sides. And finally, taking care of grand children elderly family members not only establish contact, but also free up time for mother’s and fathers, who an addition to the hassle with children, also have job or two and other responsibilities.

Opponents of this view argue that excessive grandparents’ attention to children will harm their relationship with their parents. It is believed that constant presence of grandmothers and grandfathers makes children gradually move away from their parents.

I completely disagree with this statement. Grandparents’ love and care can not be the reason of bad relationship between parents and children. Furthermore, it can strengthen the link between generations.

Needless to say that the advantages of grandparents’ helping with children’s upbringing is enormous. In conclusion, I would like to emphasise that only families, where everyone helps each other, can provide balanced and harmonic upbringing to their children.
