Nowadays cities become larger what causes traffic jams. That leads to the question whether authorities should close central quarters of enormous cities or not. One people suppose that there is no point to limit the traffic, while others claim that it is peculiarly vital to prohibit private transport in central parts of cities.
To my mind, each city centre should be intended solely for pedestrians. Firstly, I affirm so on the grounds of the obvious fact that cities should be convenient not only for drivers, but also for everyone. And vehicles make a lot of noise and contaminate air, which is unacceptable. Secondly, entire refusal from private transport may make a city alive and flamboyant, because empty and tranquil streets would unequivocally attract people.
However, there are some people who state that traffic cannot be restricted under no circumstances.

They think so because it seems to them that a car is the fastest and the most comfortable way to commute from one part of a city to another.
I strongly disagree with abovementioned opinion, because if government pays due attention to development of public transport, there will be no problems with getting around the city without own car and each civil will relish his or her life in such city. Otherwise, growth in quantity of vehicles may lead to dismal consequences both for drivers and pedestrians.
To sum up, I strongly believe that it is better to close at least central part of cities to private transport until it is too late.
