– Hello, Steve!

– Good afternoon, Michael!

– Why do people keep pets?

– I think people keep pets because pets become their friends and make their life happier. And what do you think about it?

– I agree with you. They give us love. And there are so many different kinds of pets that people keep!

– Yes, you are right! Most people keep cats, dogs, hamsters or parrots, but there are also some very unusual pets.

– For example?

– Well, rabbits, foxes and even wolves.

– Wolves? That is so unusual.

And also a bit scary. But most pets are rather small.

– Yes. A lot of people live in little houses, and their pets are not very big in size.

– You know so much about pets, Steve! And what do they usually eat?

– Different things. Depends on the kind of pet that you have. Cats like fish and milk, dogs prefer meat, and birds eat seeds. I also see that today many people buy dry food for their pets.

– Do you keep a pet at home?

– No, I don't.

– I hope so. But keeping pets is not as easy as it seems.
