It is popular nowadays to know as many languages as possible. Some people are convinced that singing songs can hardly assist in learning new languages, while others find learning languages by singing as a splendid decision.

To begin with, I stress that singing definitely lets people learn foreign languages faster. Firstly, singing is a brilliant way to memorise new words without cramming. Secondly, it gives an opportunity to hone any language constantly because of new grammatical information. Thirdly, singing helps to remember about lexis. For example, a person who is improving their skills never forgets useful expressions due to songs.

Nevertheless, there are those who consider learning new languages by singing ridiculous leisure.

First of all, they think that singing resembles stupid rote learning of a set of words. Moreover, they reckon that words in songs have nothing in common with words in colloquial speech.

To be honest, I strongly disagree with them. Certainly, singing is like a perpetual but useful practice of grammar rules, speaking, and lexical knowledge. Doubtless, songs consist of a huge amount of informal phrases, that native speakers widely use, and examples of right grammar constructions.

Finally, I want to generalize that singing is a suitable way of learning foreign languages because it lets people keep a vivid memory of useful expressions and grammar rules.

Dear Nancy,

Thanks for your letter. It was great to hear from you again. I`m sorry I haven`t answered earlier but I was busy at school.

In your letter you asked me about Haloween clothes. Well, I would fancy wearing a dress which colour and shape could look like a pumpkin. Also, I prefer to make a costume because it`s creative leisure and it`s cheap. I think costume parties are a pleasant amusement.

By the way, I want to ask you some questions about the museum. How far is the museum from your city? Is the museum large? Do you like museums?

Anyway, I have to go now because my mum is calling me.
