Some people think that young people should follow in their parents' footsteps when choosing a profession. Opinion on the subject of choosing a career (Ñî÷èíåíèÿ ÅÃÝ àíãëèéñêèé ÿçûê)

The issue whether people should abide by the example of their parent’s choice of the career or not has continuously been under discussion. The approval is rather controversial due to people are up-to-date in two minds on this point because some of them suspect that children should be like relatives concerning their job while others disagree.

According to my humble opinion, I am totally convinced that benefits of following parents’ footsteps are indisputable.

First and foremost, huge experience and valuable knowledge will be imparted to you by mother and father. Furthermore, relatives can assist you in employment by reason of they have connections in this area.

However, some people argue that learning a profession chosen by others is a waste of time. A popular thought is that career growth is feasible only in the field of activity that truly appeals to.

Contrariwise, I would like to mention that the people are completely wrong expressing such ideas though their arguments are strong. The other side of the coin is that close people will direct you to the right path. Additionally, responding to the vacancy of the organization where your relatives work gives you more chances successful interview and, therefore, progress in life.

Taking everything into account, I would like to conclude by saying that teenagers need guidance when selecting occupation. The only way they will get advice is in case of recourse to parents.
