You are going to give a talk about keeping fit. You will have to start in 1.5 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes (10-12 sentences).

why a healthy lifestyle is more popular nowadays;

what you do to keep fit;

what sports activities are popular with teenagers in your region

Life in the modern world has a lot of advantages and disadvantages.


One of the disadvantages is that in the course of time people have come to move less than they used to do in the past. As it is known that physical inactivity has a bad influence on people's health, people try to do something to improve their health. That's why a healthy lifestyle is becoming more and more popular nowadays.

As for me, I believe that it's very important to follow a healthy lifestyle, but unfortunately, I don't do much for that. I just do some simple exercises in the morning and try to walk to school instead of going by bus.

My friends are more active in this respect. They are big fans of such outdoor games as football, basketball and volleyball. These sports activities are very popular with teenagers in my region because there are a lot of special sports grounds here. As we have few facilities for winter sports, the mentioned games are widely played even in cold months.

To sum up, keeping fit is an important issue today. By doing exercises and playing sports games you can improve your health and take care of your future self.

Nowadays a healthy lifestyle is gaining more and more popularity. Why is that? I think the reason lies in the fact that a modern person is affected by a number of negative factors: lack of movement, poor ecological environment, junk and low-quality food, overuse of electronic devices, etc. As a result, people's health is getting worse and they are looking for a way to keep fit.

As for me, I've been always very concerned about health issues, and today is the best time to take action. What do I do to iron out the negative impact on my health? First, I spend a lot of time doing morning exercises in the gym. Second, I do everything possible to move more and prefer walking to going by bus or by car. Third, I pay attention to what, when and how I eat. These simple activities and rules help me keep fit and feel great all the time.

Happily, teenagers in my region hold the same view on health. For example, they devote pretty much time to such sports activities as football, basketball, volleyball, swimming and skiing. These activities are very popular in my region because they are beneficial to health and do not require any special skills.

To sum up, keeping fit must be among each person's priorities if we want to be a healthy nation in the nearest future.
