Задание 40.1

Nowadays following fashion trends is considered to be a useless action which takes a lot of time and money. However, there are people who would not agree with the statement. Therefore, I would like to express my point of view.

In my opinion, following fashion trends is really a waste of people time and money. There are some things to be said in favor of my point of view. Firstly, trends are constantly changing.

For this reason, clothes that have been fashionable this year will be unpopular next year. Secondly, it is not reasonable to spend much money on clothes only because they are trendy. People can spend all this money on education, home improvement, a car, self-development, books and other useful things.

Even so, there are some people who would not agree with me. They believe that it is very important to be on the same wavelength as fashion. They are ready to spend their money and time because they depend on public opinion very much.

To tell the truth, I cannot fully agree with them. I think that it is important to have a personal style than to follow trends. It is much cooler to be yourself and not to be influenced by fashion trends.

Taking everything into account, I want to say that following fashion trends is really a waste of time and money. I hope, I have managed to prove my point of view.
