Some people claim that computer literacy helps to achieve priorities in life, while others argue that digital skills are not essential. In this essay, I will try to express my point of view on this issue.

In my opinion, digital literacy has a great influence on a person’s advance. To start with, modern technologies are progressing fast these days, so almost every job requires working with a computer. If an employee does not have an appropriate skill, he will not be in demand. Moreover, digital literacy makes work easier as it opens up many new options for interaction with the Internet. Lots of purchases and transactions can be made through the Web which takes less time and effort. In addition, computer skills prove that a worker has special abilities, such as logic and progressiveness.

This worker will be more demanded on the labour market.

There is an opposite opinion on this idea. Some people think that digital literacy does not affect on personal achievements. They assume that a human can occupy activity that does not provide digital literacy, for example cooking or dancing. Furthermore, if a person is a highly-qualified and valuable employee, he will definitely be prosperous, even without computer skills.

I strongly disagree with this statement. Nowadays, dealing with work is really hard without understanding modern technologies. They surround people from every side of living, so every employer would prefer to hire ones that have digital literacy.

To summarize, I would like to say that digital literacy can be a huge helper in becoming a successful and wealthy person due to its widespread and development.
