The question of digital literacy has been currently important and unsettling for many decades and nowadays it still arouses the wide concern. Some people think that computer usage skills are initial for a better career, while others find different personal qualities preferable.
As far as I am concerned, the ability to operate technical devices plays a crucial part in the modern world. First of all, everyday computer use is getting more and more required in the working routine of many common professions such as businessmen, scientists, waiters, and even shop assistants. Moreover, general digital literacy of an employee shows his greater ability to process and analyze information and mind flexibility. By the way, workers face the need to communicate with each other and solve tasks via mobile phones and e-mails.
However, many people do not consider digital skills so useful.
They tend to focus on the idea that workers in a sphere of teaching or coaching should be adroit, helpful and intelligent rather than technically acknowledged. Furthermore, learning courses in media literacy are expensive and some employees are insolvent to pay for it.
At the same time, I am sure that basic skills in computer operation are significant, as the Internet stays the most profound source of information needed for almost every existing occupation.
In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that digital literacy is the best investment for the future career in our constantly changing and modernizing society.
