One shouldn’t pay too much attention to fashion (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Some people claim that fashion is overrated, while others argue that following fashion trends is essential. In this essay, I will try to express my point of view on this issue.

In my opinion, caring about fashion is unnecessary. To start with, a person who depends on fashion trends stops standing out of the crowd. He does not emphasize his individuality anymore. Moreover, so-called fashionable clothes are unsuitable for everyday life. They have different shapes, styles and colors but wearing familiar things in real life appears like a bad taste. In addition, trendy clothes cost a fortune but they do not always worth this price. Lots of companies have an affordable price for quality clothing, so you do not need to overpay for a brand’s name.

There is another opinion on this issue.

Some people approve that fashionable clothes make a person wealthy in the eyes of beholders. Everyone starts thinking that this person is rich and is living a luxury life. They do not suspect that he has been saving money for ages to look this trendy. Furthermore, stylish clothes make a human more confident because he feels independent and self-sufficient enough to buy them.

I strongly disagree with this statement. Chasing fashion trends, a human can lose his personality. He needs to develop his own taste in clothes to look unique and to be sure in his unrepeatable beauty, but not to impress insane fashion fans.

To summarize, I would like to confirm that a person should not concern about fashion. Despite the fact that trends are powerful, I am convinced that everyone must have his own peculiar fashion sense.
