Having a hobby for free time can be one of the ways to deal with stress. Some people believe that it is essential to be busy in leisure time, whereas others prefer to have lazy activities. Whether a hobby can help overcome life challenges or not is a controversial issue.
It seems to me that it is important to have an activity which can be useful for free time. To begin with, all types of hobbies help people to lighten the load. During a favorite activity people have a rest, relax and keep their minds off. Moreover, it is useful to take up some activities because people can understand more about the role and importance of keeping themselves on toes. For example, a lot of women go to dancing studios after a hard-working week; it helps them not to be overwhelmed.
However, there is an opposing opinion. Some people prefer coping with stress by energy or alcohol drinks, medicine or drugs. This kind of activity people cannot name a hobby because of its harmful influence. Firstly, people become powerful for a while, but later the effect disappears, and stress returns. Secondly, it can be not only medical drugs, many people are addicted to fast food because of the similar short-term effect of saturation and happiness.
Despite the arguments mentioned above, I still believe that the constant hobby has a positive effect on people, relieving them from stress and depression in the long term. Finally, people can be sure that they will be able to defuse all negative emotions with the help of creativity.
To sum it all up, I would like to say that there are two different opinions on this issue, but I am convinced that all people should have a hobby for a load decrease.
