Some young people claim that high-school students should not combine studying at school with working part-time, whereas others believe that it may be acceptable.
To my way of thinking, it is undesirable for pupils to juggle studying and working. They should concentrate on studying. Firstly, youngsters can prepare for the exams which they take at school before graduation. They allow pupils to enter the university and then find a good job. It will be better than a part-time job which teens do while studying at school. Secondly, working part-time, young adults have less free time to relax and therefore may feel exhausted.
As a result, they can find themselves under stress, which can be harmful to their health and well-being.
However, some believe that combining working part-time and studying can be beneficial for young people. Having a job enables teenagers to earn some extra pocket money. Furthermore, it gives a chance to acquire some useful life skills, such as communicating with their colleagues and being more responsible.
Nevertheless, I disagree with this point of view. After working part-time students become tired and cannot concentrate on studying at school. Moreover, they cannot earn much money because this kind of work is not high-qualified. Pupils also need to have some time to relax at home.
In conclusion, I can state that concentrating on studying has a beneficial effect on adolescents. It gives a chance to pass exams to find a good profession and have time for studying.
