In today’s world, the problem of choosing a profession causes great argument and controversy. Some people suppose that youth should follow in footsteps of their parents during choosing a profession, while others disagree.

As for me, I believe that is a good decision to choose a profession independently, regardless of the work of parents. To begin with, adolescents have their own interests and dreams about the future work. For example, they want to become a doctor while the mother works as a teacher. What is more, young people have certain skills that are not useful for the parents’ work. For example, a child is an artist, so it is pointless to become a lawyer like his or her dad.

However, there exists another point of view on this issue.

My opponents believe that adolescents should follow in their parents' footsteps. If you choose another job, they will not be able to help you with various problems or give some advices.

Nevertheless, I cannot agree with this statement. Working in your chosen profession, you will acquire essential qualities such as discipline, responsibility and confidence. They will help you solve problems and prevent them.

In conclusion, I would like to say that the problem of choosing a profession is still to be discussed. As far as I am concerned, a right for choosing a profession themselves is considered to have a lot of advantages and benefits for young people’s life.
