Dear Layma,

My summer holidays were wonderful this year. My parents and I went abroad for the first time in our life. We visited France and spent two weeks in its capital – Paris. We had a great time together. We walked around the city, took beautiful pictures, ate in cosy restaurants, and enjoyed our vacation. I even got a chance to speak English, which was a little scary but very exciting.

I bought a few presents for you and your family. I will soon send them to you.

Dear Peter,

Last summer I stayed at home. My family planned to spend the summer in our village in the south, but the weather was so hot that it was not necessary to go anywhere to swim and lie in the sun – we could do it all right in our hometown. So, almost every day we went to the river beach and bathed and sunbathed there. In the evening I usually read books, watched videos on the Internet or played computer games with my friends. I can say that I had fairly good holidays.

Dear Monica,

My summer holidays were very interesting this year. My parents and I decided to go to the city of Yaroslavl. That is a wonderful place. We visited museums and picture galleries, walked in beautiful parks, swam in the Volga, ate in cosy cafes and unusual restaurants. We also visited the local zoo, which is one of the largest in our country. So, we spent a lot of time outdoors, and I liked that because it is good for health. When we returned to our hotel in the evenings, I read various magazines and ate tasty food from the fridge in our room. My father is a football fan and he often turned on the TV to watch the matches of the 2020 European Football Championship. I sometimes joined him and we watched the matches together. I can say that I really enjoyed my summer holidays. I took hundreds of cool pictures during our trip. I will show them to you as soon as we see each other.
