The growth of cities is bad for the environment (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Nowadays there is rapid growth of cities in the world. Some people think that increasing of the number of towns destroys the nature while other people suppose that cities do not do so much harm to the environment. r nIn my opinion, the growth of cities is bad for the environment. Firstly, there are a lot of cars and fabrics that pollute air in cities and in the suburbs, which is very bad for the nature. Secondly, when people create new towns, they destroy forests and moors, pollute rivers. For that reason animals that had lived in those places before lose their home and die. r nHowever, there are people who claim that environmental problems do not appear because of building new cities because nowadays people think more about protecting the nature.

People try to reduce the pollution in many ways, for example, they use electric cars that are less harmful for the nature than those that work on fuel. r nNevertheless, I do not agree with the opposing opinion because although people try to protect the environment, they still do a lot of harm to it. There are still more fuel cars than electric ones, and people still need to destroy animals natural habitats. r nIn conclusion, I would like to say that the growth of cities can harm the environment. While building new towns people destroy the nature and eco-friendly things such as electric cars cannot cover the damage humanity causes to nature.
