Virtual museums (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Some people believe, that virtual museums are becoming more popular. Others believe that virtual tours can not replace real ones.

Virtual exhibitions existed long before the pandemic caused the digitalization of art. One of the first virtual exhibitions was held in 1993. The technology was then used by galleries and museums to display their collections digitally, to provide greater access and expand the audience.

Personally, I believe that virtual exhibitions and excursions are a very convenient way to visit museums. To begin with, all the objects of virtual expositions can be seen by people from anywhere in the world, and galleries manage to show exhibits from past exhibitions, and not included in them. Moreover, an undoubted advantage that visitors can estimate a digital exhibition and then visit it offline, but this is possible only when the museum or gallery has these two formats.

And finally, the transition to computer reality allowed us to show more works of art and receive more guests.

Opponents of this view think that you can't get a good look at any subject in more detail. Furthermore, there is no person who will tell you about the origin of this object or artifact.

I disagree with this point of view. Virtual museums give you the opportunity to explore the exhibits even from home. Moreover, those who live far from the city can explore any topic of interest with the help of such museums.

Taking into consideration all mentioned above, there are many advantages in virtual museums. Despite the fact that you can get more emotions from real excursions, virtual ones give a chance to visit different museums to those who do not have the opportunity to do it in real life.
