There is no doubt that control over teenagers’ Internet activities is one of the most pressing issues in the modern world. Some people believe that parents ought to monitor their children online, while others think differently. It is important to examine this issue from various viewpoints.

From my point of view, parents should keep track of what their teenage children are doing on the Internet. Firstly, adolescents are not mature enough to be completely in charge of their actions. Therefore, they can make serious mistakes online without parents’ control. For instance, teenagers frequently connect with illegal activity through the web such as cheating. Secondly, experts say that most young people spend their leisure time on the Net surfing trifles or playing games, that impact on their mental and physical health.

Thus, parents have to track their children use the web properly.

However, other people believe that there is no need for parents to control over their children’s Internet activities. According to them, it is more effective to monitor teenagers in real life, because reality is more dangerous than virtual world.

Nevertheless, I cannot agree with them because the Internet plays an integral role in our modern world. Thus, all actions done online affect our real life.

Taking into consideration all mentioned above, I strongly believe that parents’ control over adolescents on the Net is necessary in the modern world. Adults prevent their children from mistakes which can remain on the web forever. Hence, it is so important to understand the significance of this issue.
