Imagine that you are doing a project on what career choices young people in Zetland opt for. You have found some data on the subject - the results of the opinion polls (see the diagram below).
Comment on the data in the diagram and give you opinion on the subject of the project.
IT specialists - 31. 5%
Engineers - 31. 4%
Doctors - 23. 1%
Teachers - 11. 6%
Lawyers - 2. 4%
Today there is a broad range of professions for adolescents to choose from. While doing the project on what career choices young people in Zetland opt for, I have found some data and now I am going to analyse it and give my opinion.
According to the diagram the majority of respondents voted for technical occupations such as IT specialist and engineer (31. 5% and 31. 4% respectively). It is also noticeable that medical career is popular with 23. 1% of youth, whereas 11. 6% of adolescents opted for teaching professions.
Further data analysis allows me to make a comparison. Only 2. 4% of interviewees would like to make a career as lawyers - it is about 14 times less than those choosing engineering. It comes as no surprise since technology is moving at a fast pace and many jobs requiring human interaction now give way to the new and demanded ones.
There is a problem that can arise with making a career choice. Often young people are lost in a variety of occupations that the modern society suggests. There are career guidance tests invented for the solution to this problem.
To conclude, the importance of making a career choice is indisputable since the right selection determines bright future.
