I'm going to give a talk about foreign languages. Nowadays learning foreign languages is an extremely popular activity, and there are a number of reasons for that. First of all, people travel a lot these days, and foreign languages help them communicate with the local population. Next, it's impossible to understand other cultures and their art without the knowledge of their languages.

Last but not least, if you know foreign languages, you have better career opportunities, which is very important today.

As for me, I've chosen to do the English exam this year because I want to challenge myself, master this language, learn something new about English-speaking countries and widen my mental horizons in general. Moreover, I hope to find new friends abroad in the future.

To me, the exam preparation was rather easy. I started my preparation as early as in September and, as a result, had enough time to work on every aspect that puzzled me. For example, I did numerous grammar exercises, memorized new vocabulary, watched YouTube videos in English and read books.

In conclusion, I can say that learning foreign languages is a great way to become a more educated and interesting person.

I would like to give a short talk about foreign languages.

First of all, it is a well-known fact that learning foreign languages has become an urgent need in the modern world. From my point of view, the main reason for that is people's love of travelling – they want to go to another country and feel comfortable there, communicate with native speakers and enjoy the culture of that country. One more factor is the so-called globalization process – for example, if you plan to build a career in a big company, you have to know foreign languages.

Personally, I have chosen to do the English exam this year because I want to know what aspects of my knowledge of English need improving. I'll use that information in order to make up a to-do list for my English studies and successfully get ready for an international exam.

The exam preparation took me a lot of time and effort, but it was worth it. I looked through grammar books, made cards with difficult words, watched American videos and sitcoms in the original and also regularly called my aunt, who lives in London, and practised my English with her.

So, I can conclude by saying that foreign languages are the key to an interesting and rewarding life.
