Life is rather short, and it is so easy to make it almost twice as short if you choose an unhealthy lifestyle. This is the main reason why many people find strength to keep on eating healthy food, doing exercises and so on. Actually, not only it makes you live longer, but it makes your life much happier if you choose a healthy way of living, because healthy lifestyle is usually associated with being fit, having a perfect body, a strong mind and a desire to live the life to the fullest. So what do people do to stay healthy?
First of all, of course, as it is already stated, it is really important to have a healthy diet in case you want your stomach, liver, heart and other your friends that do the job for you to function properly. Food is our fuel, and it has to be qualitative not to wear out your organism.
Pretty much all the vegetables belong to healthy food, but one shouldn’t forget to eat meat as it has a lot of valuable elements in it. To be honest, I am not the one who wants to have a strict diet despite all it pros. Sometimes it is just much more satisfying to get yourself a non-healthy dish and be happy with it rather then to find an expensive, undelicious, but healthy dish only to choke when eating it since you can’t stand the taste. But for the “you should eat meat” rule in a diet, I am always in. Other than that, there is a simple rule of thumb not to drink alcohol, not to smoke and not to take drugs. These ones have the biggest and the worst impact on your health.
Also, what is really important about following a healthy lifestyle is that you have to visit your doctor periodically.

As far as I know, many people don’t like the process (which can be totally understood) for which they ignore the opportunity to check whether their health is fine or not. Some people are even afraid of, for instance, consulting a dentist. They may have a toothache for years before they finally have the courage to go the doctor. This is what you really shouldn’t do. I must admit, anyway, that for me having to visit a doctor is a pain in the neck just as well. Once I had to visit a local hospital for four days in a row, coming there in early morning to have my allergies checked. Not only it took the doctor 4 days to finish a one-hour job, but on the last day she took the “cold” probe. And it was literally the only one I had to take and it was only to reveal that I have no allergy to cold, which, for me, was really obvious! Thus I could home after a 15 minutes consultation, at 8 am, after a 40 minute bus-ride to the place.
To sum it all, I would like to say that it is really important to be healthy and to follow a healthy lifestyle, but everything should be measured. If you integrate some healthy habits in your lifestyle, don’t overdo it, because otherwise you will hate it and, most probably, give up. Always remember to have fun and live your lifestyle, not just “healthy” lifestyle!
