Women had been more important in the process of bringing their children up than men for many centuries before the change of roles in the modern type of family happened. Now, father is not the only breadwinner and working mother cannot dedicate 100% of her time to her family. If we look in the past, we can see a lot of pieces of art where women are depicted with children on their laps or next to them. However, it is very hard to find something connected to fathers. Nowadays, one question is becoming more and more urgent: “Should fatherhood be as important as motherhood is?” I believe that it should be. In my essay, I will discuss the reasons for my choice.

First of all, I am convinced that fathers can easily in a proper way to help their children to form their behaviour and character.

It is so because fathers are more rigid and demanding than mothers in most cases. Increasing the role of father in the family will be more beneficial for the development of sons and as well as daughters.

Secondly, I think that mothers alone/single-handedly cannot cover all aspects of education that fathers can. Traditionally, fathers make better coaches in sports and games, their experience and life views, when passed to children will make them better rounded up, thus successful and happy.

In conclusion, I would like to say that it is extremely strange when somebody thinks that motherhood is more important than fatherhood. How can we compare? Mothers and fathers are both extremely important if they want their children to be happy.
