Nowadays, the issue of school attendance causes great argument and controversy. Some people believe that students must attend each lesson, while other think that it does not need to be obligatory.
I believe that pupils have their own right to decide to go to school whenever the feel they need to. To begin with, students will be able to focus on what they really want to learn instead of trying to study everything at once. It cannot be denied that it helps to be less stressed. Apart from that, pupils will no longer need to be afraid of teasing and mocking in class. Moreover, homeschooling is convenient for students with disabilities.
Nevertheless, one can consider this problem from another angle. First of all, pupils become even worse at studying as a result of not seeing teachers every other day as they used to do.
Another concern is that it is rather difficult to maintain the level of education among teenagers and children under 18.
From my point of view, these concerns are groundless. To start with, teachers are able to keep in touch with their students via the Internet. Besides, government can easily maintain the level of education with test which students can take online.
In conclusion, I would like to say that the problem of school attendance is still to be discussed. It seems to me that students should be free to choose if they need to go to school or not.
