Nowadays a number of big cities is increasing rapidly. Some people believe that modern industrial cities are dangerous for our environment, whereas others suppose that there is nothing harmful for people and nature in the growth of towns. So, who is right?
I am convinced that the increase of cities causes harmful effects on our environment. To begin with,
the more the number of big cities, the less there are trees, parks, and forests on our planet. People destroy wild nature in order to build new skyscrapers, and it causes negative consequences. Moreover, people suffer from an enormous air- and water-pollution in big cities because a huge number of factories and industrial companies release waste into environment.
On the other hand, there are those who claim that the growth of cities is harmless for the environment.
In their opinion, new technologies give people an opportunity to build areas for living, factories, and other industrial companies without any consequences.
I understand this argument, but I feel I must disagree. Not every city can afford technologies that work harmless for our environment, and that is why the growth of towns is still serious problem for ecosystem.
In conclusion, I believe that one should go abroad for better conditions of education. I may understand those who claim that a person can get a good education in his native country, but, anyway, I stand for learning abroad.
