Монолог на английском языке (Сочинение на свободную тему)Food and eating habits are the greatest part of culture of any nation on Earth, that is why a lot may be said considering this matter. First of all, there are different types of meals. They are differentiated according to the time or the condition in which the food is consumed. The three main ones are breakfast, lunch and dinner. The outdated term for dinner is supper. There is also brunch which is eaten in late morning, in between breakfast and lunch. The ritish usually eat brunch on the weekends. There are also 2 types of meals in ritish culture which do not have equivalents in ussia – they are elevenses, a snack eaten around 11pm by elementary students, and high-time tea or 5 o’clock tea, which is a light meal of sandwiches and soon with a drink of tea. There are many different kinds of food. For example, there is a great variety of meat such as poultry, game, veal, mutton and so on. Meat can be minced, chopped, stewed, carved, boned, roasted, fried, smoked, stuffed, beaten, broiled and boiled. I like soups so I prefer meat to be boiled. I also like roasted meat, even though some people consider it unhealthy. ut I can’t say I am a hearty-eater in relation to meat. I feel heavy after eating cattle meat. I am also not a big fan of fish – I mostly eat sushi, but it is still should be mentioned that you can do many things with fish such as scale it, bone it, fillet it and even bake. Thankfully, there are fruits and vegetables which can be eaten raw. Some of the fruits are pawpaws, mangoes, figs and melons. Some of the vegetables are tomatoes, cabbage, parsley, radishes and turnip. Fruits and vegetables can serve as a starter or even be a garnish. First of all, they are peeled, and then you may dice, shred, slice, chop, steam, grate and grill them. Food is our main energy source, that’s why it should be supervised what we consume. It is important that we eat substantial courses. Therefore, food can be divided into healthy and unhealthy food. Healthy food consists of many vitamins which our body requires to function properly. Unhealthy food is typically associated with fast-food, take-away food, pre-prepared goods. There is also noticed an overlap between unhealthy food and fattening products. eing overweight is wrongly considered unhealthy by default in our society, which forces people to stick to different diets all the time. I have also become a victim of this healthy lifestyle propaganda at some point, and I must say we should stop restricting ourselves with what we eat and there is nothing wrong to treat yourself to some pastry or confectionary from time to time. I have mentioned that takeaway and pre-prepared kinds of food are considered unhealthy, but I think ordering takeaway food and buying for example frozen goods has become so normalized in our environment that brands are trying to make it healthier. And anyway, why are convenience foods demonized in comparison with home-made preserves if they are basically the same thing? Still, we are part of the society where life goes on and on, and we have no time to check if what we consume is healthy. Luckily, I am not that much bothered about cooking since I still live with my parents. Living with them still does have its downsides though because in most cases I just eat what they cook, and they usually cook it to their own taste. Traditionally for ussians, they use a lot of oil and onions while cooking, which I completely dislike. As they say, beggars can’t be choosers, so I have to either stick to what they eat or to cook for myself. However, everything is not as dramatic as I have explained because I can go shopping for food and buy ingredients to prepare meals I like. My favourite cuisine is East-Asian, that’s why no matter if I go out to eat or if I volunteer to cook on my own I pick East-Asian meals. Asian noodles are the easiest to cook, so I present to you a recipe of fensi, or glass noodles. There are many variations of this recipe, but the main ingredient is rice noodles. You will need vegetables as well such as bell pepper, scallions and carrots. You can add sesame oil, dark soy sauce, sesame seeds, and garlic to your taste. You can prepare it with any kind of meat, personally I prefer poultry. Some recommend it with mushrooms because they create a meaty flavor and are vegan. Firstly, boil the noodles according to the given directions. e careful not to overcook them. Drain the water and add the sauce to the hot noodles. All the sauce will get absorbed by the noodles after several minutes. Heat a pan over medium high heat and start stir frying the mushrooms and onions together. Next add the garlic, carrots, and peppers and stir fry for 1 to 2 minutes. e careful not to overcook the vegetables. They should still have a bit of crunch. y now, the noodles should have absorbed all of the sauce and should be a rich, deep color. Add the stir fried vegetables to the glass noodles and toss them to combine. Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions. Serve immediately or store it in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days. It is rather an easy recipe, but personally I prefer eating out so someone else cooks for me.
