Letter project «Shopping» (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Hey George. How's it going? I've found a couple of pictures that might work well for our project "Shopping", and I'd like to discuss them with you.

Well, I think the first photo works for our project because it depicts a woman walking up the escalator in a mall. In contrast, the second photo works because it shows a woman choosing clothing items on the Internet. So, together, the pictures illustrate how people shop nowadays. In particular, they depict the differences between shopping at a mall and shopping in the virtual world.

In the first photo, the woman is in a usual mall, whereas in the second photo, the woman is at home on her laptop on the Internet buying things.

Furthermore, in the first photo, we can see other people buying new clothes, whereas, in the second photo, there is only one woman.

Well, I can see some advantages and disadvantages of the two ways of going shopping in each photo. What I see as an advantage of shopping at a mall is that people can touch and try on clothes. The disadvantage is that products didn't come to you direct from the manufacturer or seller. That's why prices may be too high. What's good about shopping on the Internet is that you can find almost any brand or item you want at low prices. You can get in on the latest international trends without spending money on airfare. However, the downside is that you can't determine texture or fabric just by looking at a photo. Products that seem great might feel awkward or cheap when you hold them in your hands.

Honestly, I prefer to shop on the Internet. It saves your time and you can shop at any time of the day that you want.
