In the other opinion, the punishment is the only way to prevent new crimes. Firstly, it is intimidating for criminals. Secondly, it makes people reject wrong desires and do what is right. I strongly disagree with this opinion. The punishment never has any good effect. And, beyond any doubt, it makes criminals worse than they were. Despite the other opinion, I still believe that the punishment is not an option. The society should find another way to prevent crimes. Besides, this way should be more humane.
