Some people claim that getting a job with high salary is impossible without getting a university degree, while others hold an opposing view.
In my opinion, to be a well-paid worker, it is not necessary to get higher education. Firstly, a usual manual worker as a carpenter or a plumber might count on a high salary if she or he has necessary experience and skills for doing their work well as in this case a person might have stable customer base. Secondly, being a relative of a top-manager or of a boss may guarantee a person well-paid job without getting a university degree.
However, there are people who claim that only higher education can provide a person with a well-paid job.
They believe that only a university education can give a person necessary knowledge and skills that are needed for workplaces in good companies with high salary.
Personally, I disagree with above-mentioned opinion. There are a lot of courses that might provide you with necessary skills, besides a university education, for getting a well-paid job. For some spheres of work a university education is considered to be outdated and cannot give useful knowledge as it cannot adapt quickly to rapidly changing modern world. For instance, university programs in IT-spheres is becoming uninformative as new IT- technologies are developing faster than the inflexible university system can adapt to it. That is why you might be a well-paid IT-worker without a university degree.
To sum up, despite different opinions, I would like to emphasize that earning a high salary is possible without higher education.
