Civil Legal System.This type of legal system often refer to Romano-Germanic, neoRoman or Continental law and more than half of the world's countries use its various forms. This legal family is distinguished by the presence of legal codification, when a state fixed its laws in written form and arranged similar of them in the structure of the codes. The basis of civil law is mainly composed of things borrowed from Roman law. Its appearance was also influenced by local customs and culture. The advantages of this legal system are clear expression of rights and duties,simplicity and accessibility of codified laws to citizens,detailed interpretation of rules, regulations and bylaws.

Religious Legal System refers to ethical or moral codes and comes from the sacred texts of religious nature.

In most cases religious law covers all aspects of life. Some countries apply religious traditions as the basis for their legal systems. Today most countries use religious law as a complement to national law, but judges or governments cannot amend or legislate it. If any disputes arise, an officer of that religion settles them. So, he is both a judge and a priest. The main kinds of religious law are Islamic Sharia, Jewish Halakha and Christian canon law.
